Stratum Nutrition named exclusive North American distributor for Korean oral probiotics range
The agreement covers OraTicx's live strains oraCMU (Weissella cibaria CMU) and oraCMS1 (Weissella cibaria CMS1), as well as the postbiotic form of oraCMU.

According to Global Market Insights, the oral probiotic market was valued at US $2.5 billion in 2022 and is anticipated to register a CAGR of over 6.5% between 2023 and 2032, possibly reaching $4.8 billion.

OraTicx strains are reported to be supported by multiple published human clinical trials that show oraCMU’s ability to benefit oral microbiome balance while promoting dental health and fresh breath.
A 2023 paper in Frontiers in Microbiology reported on findings from a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial that included 100 adults with halitosis. The participants chewed a tablet containing OraCMU once a day for eight weeks, with the data showing that the probiotic led to significant improvements in their breath scores and a reduced presence of compounds that produce bad breath.
Similar effects are also reported in two canine clinical trials, according to a press release from Stratum.
Weissella cibaria CMS1 (oraCMS1) is supported by data from a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel trial with 90 healthy subjects, which found that 12 weeks of supplementation led to significant improvements in both the oral environment and immune function (Food & Function, 2024).
The postbiotic form of oraCMU shows promising mechanism of action in vitro, added Stratum.
