Verdant Nature and CReDO Science team up to develop endocannabinoid products

Verdant Nature, manufacturers of the Verdant Oasis brand, and a vertically integrated, global producer of phytocannabinoid and CBD rich hemp oil products, has announced their partnership with CReDO Science.

CReDO is headed by Dr. Ethan Russo, known for his work at GW Pharmaceuticals, where he oversaw the Sativex and Epidiolex trials. Russo is also considered a top expert on the synergy between the endocannabinoid system and phytocannabinoids constituents. 

Collaboration inspiration 

Carl Germano, CNS, CDN, Chief Business Officer/Vice President of Verdant Nature, said the partnership happened after witnessing a void in the market and a glut of “me too” single, magic bullet CBD products.

“In addition, we recognize the confusion about dosing and appreciation for other minor phytocannabinoids, cannflavins, etc. and their influence on the endocannabinoid system.  This brings us to recognize one of the few world renowned experts in cannabis medicine who has made an impact on the science of the ECS and influence from the entourage that exists in whole plant hemp oils. We are pleased to collaborate with Dr. Russo, who has championed the science and publication on endocannabinoid deficiency states and the importance of the entourage of phytocannabinoids. Also, Dr Russo has been searching for high quality, legal hemp raw materials and a company with dedicated resources to study the safety and efficacy of their material.”​

Germano added that Verdant Nature’s goal has always been to introduce science that would create sales --not sales lacking science. 

Increased interest 

The company has seen a spike in interest as of late, with clients inquiring about everything from dosage, research, and NDIs, to microbial contamination. They have also received a lot of requests for the development of hemp and CBD products. According to Germano, the company has been bombarded with requests regarding educational efforts to tell the ‘more important story’ about all of the phytocannabinoid in hemp and continued R&D to address the importance of all of the actives in true hemp – not just one.

With all this in mind, the collaboration will offer formulation guidance to clients seeking to manufacture phytocannabinoid and CBD-rich hemp oil products.
