Up until pretty recently, said Nir Shimony, there "wasn't a great ecosystem of accelerators, angel investors, and mentors" for Israeli foodtech start ups to tap into. But that's changing as groups such as TechForGood (of which Shimony is co-founder) have sprung up to help entrepreneurs access the support - and the money - they need to prosper.
