Herbalife heads to country #81: Uruguay

Direct-selling supplements giant Herbalife will move into its 81st country on February 15 when it sets up a new base in Uruguay, the 17th market in its South and Central America region.

The operation will include a distribution center in Montevideo where independent distributors can pick up and order products.

Products available at launch include Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix, Personalized Protein Powder, Herbal Tea Concentrate, NRG Powder, and several products from the NouriFusion skin care line.

Founded by entrepreneur Mark Hughes in California in 1980, Herbalife markets and sells its products through a network of more than two million independent distributors.

These distributors then sell Herbalife products to end consumers.
