With over 500 members, 30-plus sponsors and thousands of social media followers, the powerhouse group of men and women is showing no signs of slowing down.

This year’s NutraIngredients-USA award finalists gathered in Chicago for the much anticipated ceremony that highlights the hard work of so many brands, companies and individuals.

Women in Nutraceuticals (WIN) took home Industry Initiative of the Year, an award that celebrates a significant improvement for the industry.

“WIN is the right initiative at the right moment for the right reasons," said Stephen Daniells, PhD, editor-in-chief of NutraIngredients-USA. "The organization’s dedication to building support for women across the nutraceutical supply chain is helping to increase the presence of women in leadership roles, connect female-led businesses with funding, boost women’s participation in research.

"The NutraIngredients-USA team salutes WIN for its mission to employ women within the global nutraceuticals industry, which engenders a broader societal impact of supporting diversity, inclusion and equity to better reflect the industry’s consumer base."

WIN President Heather Granato said winning the Industry Initiative of the Year Award is a testament to the group's important work and the industry's recognition of the value of diversity and representation.

"NutraIngredients is a leader in supporting women and women in leadership and talking about the importance of gender parity in science, so it's a natural fit and we couldn't be more pleased," she said.

Granato added that she is grateful for those she has worked with over her 30+ year career, and WIN is an opportunity to give back.
