“From a trend standpoint, it’s really intriguing to see how consumers are merging beauty and wellness together to really meet the beauty holistically, from both a body and mind standpoint. And from a holistic standpoint, the increased interest from consumers in ‘beauty from within’ is really exciting.

While beauty supplements are smaller today, we see this to be an increasing area of interest from consumers as they’re looking for beauty to solve key visible challenges as well as unique beauty challenges introduced by life changes, for example menopause.”

“We’ve come a long way from antioxidants and collagen for BFW. Today there is a macro-shift towards lifestyle and environmental supportive-type formulations that work to mitigate the effects of stress, pollution, poor nutrition or epigenetic on our outer aesthetic. People want to live longer, stay active and feel and look their best at every age.

I always love to see the latest in clinical research for nutricosmetics, either as ingredients or formulations. For example, there are some interesting traditionally used Eastern medicine botanical ingredients and blends that are showing promise for managing microbiome or exposome via gut-skin axis when taken in supplement form. There is also more coming out on full formulations showing positive results in managing the effects of psychological stress and chronic low grade inflammation on the health and appearance of skin and hair. The combination of advancing science and holistic perspectives for BFW is bringing forth some interesting BFW products that take on a different perspective and mechanism of action in how we support and nourish beauty from the inside out."

“I'm particularly excited about the advancements in microbiome research and its implications for skin health. The understanding of how gut health affects skin condition is opening new avenues for BFW products that support both digestive and skin health. Additionally, innovations in ingredient delivery systems, such as encapsulation technology, are allowing for better absorption and efficacy of active ingredients like collagen and vitamins. These advancements not only enhance the effectiveness of products but also improve the overall consumer experience.

It's an exciting time for the BFW industry as it continues to evolve and grow. The integration of technology, such as AI and personalized nutrition platforms, is set to revolutionize how consumers engage with beauty-from-within products. I'm looking forward to sharing more insights and discussing these topics in-depth during the webinar.”
