Family-owned and operated Sports Research recently debuted its "The Sport of Life" campaign, which expands its rebranding initiative that kicked off earlier this year. The campaign marks a new direction and brings a fresh approach to the brand’s visual identity.

“My dad's built a huge legacy that I'm so proud to be a part of," said Mike Pedersen, COO and head of the rebrand vision at Sports Research. "We have to evolve to keep that alive. Our rebranding is not just a change of visuals. It’s an affirmation of our founding values and our commitment to empowering purpose.”

Sports Research was founded by Mike Pederson’s father, Jeff Pederson, in 1980. Mike has four brothers and one sister, all of whom he says were born to work in sports nutrition and all of whom work at the company.

“We didn't have Fruity Pebbles or Lucky Charms," he added. "He [dad] was giving us protein shakes when we were younger."

With the rebrand complete, the company is focused on continuing its innovation and aggressive launch strategy. After two years of product development, Sports Research recently debuted its hydration line at Expo West and plans to release 40 new SKUs in the coming year.
