The first month of summer is jam-packed with launches, with a range of new offerings in sports nutrition, hydration and sleep support. As brands try to standout out in the crowd, we're noticing a lot interesting flavor profiles starting to emerge.

A taste for travel 

G FUEL and HoYoverse teamed up to offer a new Traveler's Ale powdered energy formula that was inspired by the open-world adventure RPG Genshin Impact. The cactus lime flavored formula comes in a 40-serving tub and new fully wrapped 24 oz steel shaker cup. G FUEL Traveler's Ale Energy Formula is sugar-free and contains antioxidants from 18 different fruit extracts. Each serving has 15 calories and 140 mg of caffeine.

That Noo Noo

Onnit supplements and fitness company has tapped Specnova for its proprietary brand of ashwagandha, NooGandha, to launch the Alpha BRAIN Pre-workout formula. The dietary supplement aims to support cognitive functions, including memory, mental speed and focus.

A double-blind, placebo-controlled study on NooGandha conducted at Jacksonville University found that 225-400mg of NooGandha elevated mental agility, focus and alertness; enhanced visual memory; increased reaction time; boosted psychomotor speed; improved executive functioning; balanced cortisol levels; reduced feeling of stress and anxiety; and associated food cravings.

Healthy cell's absorbable gel 

Healthycell recently launched Heart & Vascular Health, a new absorbable gel supplement designed to support normal cholesterol, triglyceride and blood pressure levels. Heart & Vascular Health is a blend of plant-based ingredients, vitamins and minerals, including CoQ10, vitamin K2, omega-3, soluble fiber, resveratrol and magnesium for overall heart and cardiovascular health.

The patent pending delivery system, Microgel, is designed to deliver effective doses of multiple clinically-backed nutrients that would otherwise require swallowing several pills. According to Healthycell, each gel pack contains over 2,686mg of nutrients – the equivalent of about 13 pills.

Another nut in the GHOST family

GHOST Whey x Nutter Butter "Chocolate" is the newest addition to the brand’s line of protein powders, which include partnerships like OREO and Chips Ahoy. Each serving has 170 calories and 26 grams of protein per serving.

GNC gets Amped 

GNC just dropped its first functional hydration and performance product: GNC AMP Amplified Hydration. The electrolyte complex is designed to support hydration, recovery and multi-action digestion in stick packs that can be mixed in water. The first drop, now available online and in GNC stores, features seasonal flavors acai berry, tropical punch and lemon lime all of which were created within GNCX Innovations, its in-house innovation incubator creating science-backed products.

Goli on the beet

Goli recently announced the debut of its new Beets Cardio Gummies across retailers and DTC platforms. Following a successful exclusive launch at Target, consumers can now shop Beets Cardio Gummies directly on Goli.com. The gummies are made with CoQ10 to help support cardiovascular health. They also contain vitamin B12 to support heart healthy cellular energy, as well as beet root extract.

Marquis’ posh botanical blend

Marquis just announced the debut of its first botanical-inspired flavor, Lemon Lavender. Addressing consumers’ demand for a luxurious, organic flavor profile that is light and crisp, Lemon Lavender joins the brand’s portfolio as part of its aggressive growth strategy to stay ahead of the curve in the beverage space by keeping consumers engaged with fresh additions. Following the launch of Pineapple Passion in early 2023, Marquis experienced 75% growth in total sales in Q1 of this year compared to the same time last year, sparking a new best-seller in its lineup. Now, Marquis is offering a botanical blend with a hint of caffeine.

Athlete hydration

Launch Hydrate recently announced its sports drinks featuring Cognizin Citicoline. With a blend of electrolytes and essential vitamins and minerals, the company hopes to help athletes hydrate quicker, focus better and recover faster.

Launch Hydrate is available in Fruit Punch, Orange, Tropical and Lemon Strawberry. Each 16oz bottle aims to offer focus, hydration and recovery with 1200mg electrolytes, 125mg Cognizin and 90 calories.

Plexus Sleep

Plexus Worldwide now offers Plexus Sleep, a supplement that promotes quality, restorative sleep and helps maintain a healthy sleep cycle. Plexus Sleep contains 5 mg of melatonin, paired with 1.7 grams of the prebiotic fiber FOS (fructooligosaccharides). The gummies are also formulated with ashwagandha, GABA, lemon balm extract, and L-tryptophan. As more studies on the gut-brain axis continue, research suggests sleep quality and efficiency may be associated with gut diversity.

Plexus Sleep is available as a gummy supplement in a sugar-free mixed berry flavor. It contains no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives.

Sleep in 1-2-3

Nature's Bounty, a Nestlé Health Science Company, recently unveiled its new Sleep3 Gummies supplement. The gummies feature L-theanine, quick release melatonin, and time release melatonin.

The gummies work in three steps:

First Action: A blend of L-theanine and melatonin help the body relax and unwind
Second Action: Quick release melatonin helps the body fall asleep quickly
Third Action: Time release melatonin in a protective coating dissolves later in the digestive system, releasing melatonin gradually to help the body stay asleep longer
