Broad Institute of MIT, NOW, FDA among first raft of speakers for Probiota Americas
Registration is already open for the three-day event, which will take place June 14-16 at the Westin Chicago River North.

The 2023 event kicks off with The Probiota Americas CEO Panel featuring Caroline Carralero (Nouri), Jim Emme (NOW Health Group), Aubrey Leavitt (Postbiotics+), and more. The session also includes overviews of the market by Scott Dicker, Director of Market Insights at SPINS, and Stephen Daniells, Editor-in-Chief of NutraIngredients-USA.
Day 1 ends with a keynote from Dr Andrew Benson, Director of the Nebraska Food for Health Center at the University of Nebraska, titled, “Genetic Diversity Within Species of Food Crops can have Substantial Effects on the Human Gut Microbiome”
Day 2 starts with a look at the regulatory landscapes for microbiome modulators in the US and Canada, and features presentations from Leslie Steen, PhD, from the US Food & Drug Administration, and Brian McNeill, PhD, from Health Canada.
Other confirmed speakers for Day 2 include: Solange Henoud, Lallemand/ International Probiotics Association; Dr. Corey Hilmas, KGK Science; Ivan Wasserman, Amin Talati Wasserman; Mark Haupt, MD, IFF; Damian Rafal Plichta, PhD, Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard; Meichen (Echo) Pan, North Carolina State University; Katherine Chacón-Vargas, PhD, Synbiotic Health; and Zack Abbott, PhD, Zbiotics.
Day 3 features presentations on a range of topics, including: Microbiome Modulation to Support Women’s Health; LBPs in the USA; and insights from our Probiota Pioneers.
