A new research management tool has been announced by Stravito, with aims to democratise access to market research and insights across global teams.

The Swedish enterprise insights platform has designed an integrated software named Research Management, to provide global companies online facilities to store and integrate market and consumer insights, and centralise access to research.

Research Management is an additional tool available to companies using the Stravito platform. It enables users to better manage research projects, budgets, suppliers, and external agencies from one, secure space.

The six-year-young knowledge management solutions company, says Research Management can allow users to “initiate new projects in minutes instead of hours; choose from customised ready-to-use brief templates; select research agencies from a recommended list and review proposals; centralise communication and collaboration with internal team and agencies; stay updated on tasks and statuses; manage spending, budgets and approvals; and review the progress of all internal research projects in one place.”

Potential for the nutrition market

There is growing research into AI usage within the nutrition industry, with suggestions of its potential to revolutionise the field of nutrition due to the efficient data collection and analysis.

The global food company Danone has now been testing Research Management for the past four months. With scientific teams present in 55 countries, and a regular schedule of study completions, the multinational food-products corporation is an obvious test-pilot for the tool.

Automated, collaborative ways to manage insights projects and avoid duplication were incentives for Danone to trial the programme, explains Joanna Dumont, VP Strategy, Insights, and Innovation at Danone.

She said: “At Danone, we are always innovating with data and insights, and looking for tools that can empower us to work as one team in a more effective and smart way.

“Research Management enables best practice sharing, makes processes much more transparent and increases team collaboration. So far, in the pilots and the markets that it has launched in, the feedback has been really aligned with our overall goal to increase efficiency with many people commenting ‘I really needed this’.”

Thor Olof Philogène, CEO and Founder at Stravito, comments: “This is just the beginning, we have a number of great enhancements in the pipeline for Research Management, including a real-time internal and external chat functionality, and a timeline feature that conveniently denotes project milestones of commissioned research. We’re excited to see how teams capitalise on the tools’ consistently expanding capabilities.”
