Brandi Dupuis, VP of Finance, Natures Crops, is responsible for leading the omega-3 ingredient supplier toward the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy by getting Natures Crops B Corp certified last year.
“It was quite the task, quite the undertaking,” recalled Dupuis. “We started that journey in 2021 and we learned very quickly that it’s not something that's easily achievable and we appreciated the challenge that it brought because as we got into this, we learned that it's something the B Corp group has done a great job of making it where it's not something you can just go and sign an application and get it. They really vet companies.”
The company’s mission is to provide regeneratively grown, sustainable, plant-based ingredients that support the optimal health of people, communities and the planet. Dupuis, who has been with Natures Crops since 2014, said that it’s important for her to work somewhere that aligns with her own values.
“As a company, the importance of our processes, the importance of the planet to us, the importance of our products that we produce and the importance of our people—caring about people is one of our core values and I think that’s something as an employee that matters a lot,” she said.
“Our commitment to social responsibility and environmental responsibility with our products makes us feel like we're all trying to do the right thing. And that's something a lot of our employees are also passionate about, in being able to say, ‘hey my company believes in that and they want to do right,’ —it's a really great feeling to have that.”
