Thousands from the dietary supplement, sports and personalized nutrition, functional food and beverage industries flocked to Vegas to network and unveil what they’ve been up to the last two years.
Whether it’s new product launches, seeing the latest ingredients and solutions in the market or in-person connections, everyone we spoke with said it’s just good to be back.
“I'm really pleased for Informa. It was a gutsy call to proceed and as we see, there's a lot of happy people here glad to see each other,” observed Loren Israelsen, founder and president of the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA).
Andre Melo, business development director at Algarithm Ingredients, said that after two years of Zoom calls, this event has provided quality interactions that technology just can’t replicate.
“After two without seeing anybody, it has been fantastic. I'm very happy to be here,” said Melo.
Although 2021 was scaled down compared to past years, many did appreciate the extra space, additional precautions and said they felt safe.
“I definitely feel safe,” said Barry Heinbaugh, General Manager, North America at Shandong Jianyuan Bioengineering. “I have been at a lot of shows across the country, I’ve been at the Natural Expo back East, I’ve been at a number of the local IFTs, and at this show more so than any show that I've been at, people are masked up, people are observing the rules. They're being very conscientious about how they conduct themselves at this show and I'm impressed.”
SupplySide West 2022 is slated for November 2-3.
