Lycovary Daily supports anti-aging oxygenation of the ovaries and aims to help women with PMS, painful periods and menopause transition.

Cambridge Diagnostic Imaging, also known as CaDi, is launching Lycovary Daily, an ovarian health supplement in the family of oxygenation products. The patented complex of DHA omega-3 with the carotenoid molecules lutein and zeaxanthin provide clinically-validated and personalized daily support for women from the beginning of their fertile phase on up to menopause.

Women across the globe endure painful periods and hot flashes during menopause, early onset of osteoporosis and other health issues that stem from hormonal imbalance. Lycovary seeks to restore balance by oxygenating the ovaries.

“Up to 50% of women in the world encounter a range of ovarian health problems and this inspired us to create Lycovary Daily – a dietary supplement to support women’s health and improve the quality of their lives through anti-ageing oxygenation,” explained Dr. Ivan Petyaev, founder and CEO of Lycotec, the company that developed Lycovary.

Lutein for balance

“CaDi focuses on healthcare products to support tissue oxygenation to prevent or reverse its reduction in aging and pathologies associated with inflammation. In our research, we have observed that different carotenoids have different affinity to different organs, for example lutein and zeaxanthin prefer to accumulate in the brain (including the eye retina as part of the brain) and the ovaries. It is known that the state of health of ‘the lutein body’ (corpus luteum) in the ovaries is important in order to coordinate women’s fertility and their hormonal and emotional balance,” noted Petyaev.

A lack of tissue oxygenation can disrupt the synchronization of the ovarian hormone cascade and lead to imbalance. While oxygenation gradually declines naturally with age, it can also happen at any age due to dietary deficiencies, inflammatory conditions or other factors.

The Lycovary Daily patented complex is aimed to provide targeted anti-aging oxygenation to women’s ovaries by using a patented technology.

Bioavailability

“One of the key elements of this patented technology is the creation of a complex of molecules which can pass through the stomach’s acid environment (gastric juice) and be absorbed in a minimally modified/inactivated form at the point of their absorption in the bowel. This protection from acidic damage increases the level of absorption of the ingested molecules providing a boost to their bioavailability,” said Petyaev, who noted that this complex is not a mechanical blend, but a physical complex molecular structure, which he explained provides superior bioavailability.

He added that after their absorption, carotenoids are transported in circulation within plasma lipoproteins. “We discovered that they have new properties to support and improve, if needed, the oxygen carrying capacity of these lipoproteins, which is important for the maintenance of tissue oxygenation. In addition, apart from these anti-hypoxic properties, some of the carotenoids can facilitate more targeted delivery of their lipoprotein carriers with cargos of such bioactive molecules as anti-inflammatory DHA Omega 3.”

Science

A 2018 clinical trial demonstrated 250 mg of Lycovary Daily DHA Omega-3 to be 10-16 times stronger than conventional omega-3 supplement products and 4–5 times more powerful than omega-3 pharmaceuticals.

This bioavailability translates into the reduction of inflammation markers and an increase in oxygen transport to peripheral tissues and their respiration.

“In this PK analysis, the results obtained in the acute and 4-week studies reveal and confirm that the lycosome formulation of DHA has a significantly higher bioavailability rate when compared to the regular DHA. Therefore, introduction of lycosome-formulated DHA may eliminate the need in high-dose DHA treatment protocols which might be harmful for patients,” the authors pointed out.

Personalization

To compliment the Lycovary Daily supplement, the cadifamily.com website offers a questionnaire to assess personal health information and medical history in order to recommend the most suitable personal dosage for each customer. This feature is available for all CaDi supplements which can then be ordered through the website.

Later this year, the company also plans to expand their data-collecting AI algorithm with additional point-of-care proprietary blood test analysis. Regularly monitoring health information and blood test results will allow the AI algorithm to optimize the recommended dosage and its adjustment if needed. The company said to expect more details in the coming months.
