AHPA calls for nominations for 2021 awards

The deadline for nominations for the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) 2021 Awards will close on January 15, with the awards to be presented at a virtual meeting on March 9.

"The AHPA Awards have been a big success within the community, and to help highlight the continued growth of our industry we are happy to announce a new award category: The AHPA Herbal Diversity and Inclusion Award,” said AHPA Vice President of Marketing & Engagement, Amber Bennett.

“The Award reflects an excellence of commitment to the values of equality that serve to improve not only our industry, but benefit broader society as well.”

AHPA's annual awards, first presented in 2006, acknowledge individuals and organizations for making substantive, positive contributions to the herbal products industry.

AHPA Award categories

AHPA is accepting nominations for four categories:

• AHPA Herbal Diversity and Inclusion Award recognizes excellence in commitment to the values of diversity, inclusion and equality benefitting both the herbal products industry and broader society. (New Category)

• Herbal Hero: Individuals who make outstanding contributions to AHPA committees or initiatives.

• Herbal Industry Leader: Companies that set an example of outstanding business practices or organizations that work to move the industry forward, exceeding the standards of normal business practices.

• Herbal Insight Award: Individuals or non-commercial organizations that have a significant impact on furthering knowledge and understanding of botanicals and their uses.
