The Orlando Magic announced a new multi-year partnership with Nutrilite Men's and Women's Packs, a first-of-its-kind partnership in the NBA.

Magic Chairman Dan DeVos said Amway is committed to its vision of helping people live better lives and the collaboration aligns perfectly with the Magic's mission to be world champions both on and off the court.

“Both organizations take pride in what makes our businesses thrive  — principles, people and products. We're excited about what we can accomplish together,” added DeVos.

History

For those familiar with Amway and the Magic, the collaboration shouldn’t be a surprise.

Richard DeVos Sr. and Jay Van Andel founded Amway in 1959 as an MLM to distribute cleaning products, which later expanded to become an international distributor of a wide variety of products, including dietary supplements.

DeVos, who died in 2018, was the owner of the Orlando Magic, having bought the team in 1991 for $85 million.

Amway Center, the indoor arena,  is home to the Orlando Magic as well as the Orlando Solar Bears of the East Coast Hockey League and the Orlando Predators of the National Arena League.

"We're thrilled to have Nutrilite products recognized as the first official vitamins of an NBA team, especially with our longtime partners, the Orlando Magic! It's a perfect match and exciting to see health and wellness take 'center court' in a partnership like this. Highlighting the importance of living a healthy, balanced life with the best of nature and science is what we have been known for over the past 85 years," said Kelli Templeton, Amway North America Chief Marketing Officer.

In 2019 Amway pulled in global sales of $8.4 billion. In 2020, the Orlando Magic franchise had an estimated value of $1.4 billion.
