Sugarbreak launches line to tackle sugar cravings, prediabetes
One brand is hoping to shake up the diabetic industry by launching Sugarbreak — a supplement that supports healthy blood sugar levels.
The company said the all-natural, clinically-proven supplements are a game-changer for diabetes sufferers.
The brand was founded by a group of veteran entrepreneurs including: CEO Scarlett Leung (formerly of Trellis Health), Adam Lowry (Ripple Foods & Method Products), Luke Raymond (VMG Creative), and Kyle Heller (VMG Creative).
Sugarbreak is a B-Corp, or a public benefit corporation, a type of corporate governance structure that is meant to addresses social and environmental concerns. Sugarbreak’s ultimate goal is to reverse the trends of obesity and diabetes that are the result of rising blood sugar.
Backed by science
“Something that we were very cognizant of when we were formulating our supplements is that we wanted something that is backed by science. Every ingredient that we use is not only natural but also has scientific studies to prove their efficacy,” said Leung.
The brand is built on three pillars: All natural, proven and measurability.
“The thing about blood sugar is that you know that it’s working because you can see the results by measuring your blood sugar,” explained Leung. Customers can track and monitor their levels through Sugarbreak’s glucose app.
The Sugarbreak line includes:
Resist
The functional breath mint is a dissolvable strip that also blocks the taste of sugar. The strips are plant-based, all-natural and are comprised of gymnema sylvestre, peppermint and sodium alginate.
Stabilize
The clinically-proven dietary supplement contains white mulberry leaf, chromium picolante and banaba leaf extract. The vegan and allergen-free capsules block the absorption of sugars and carbs, reducing post-meal blood sugar spikes.
Reduce
The dietary supplement is clinically-proven to reduce blood sugar and A1c levels. The vegan and allergen-free capsules contain gymnema sylvestre, fenugreek seed extract and banaba leaf extract.
