A new line of hemp products has launched trading on the bioavailability advantages that are supplied by the inclusion of cranberry seed oil.

The company, called Mother Nature’s Trading Company, is based in Wisconsin. The state is the world leader in cranberry production, and company founder Mark Block said he saw an opportunity to provide a differentiator in the crowded hemp/CBD field.

Block pointed to research showing significantly increased uptake of cannabinoids when administered with a lipid carrier.  And he said a formulation partner, Miller Organics, based in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, was uniquely situated to provided a high quality cranberry seed oil.

We spent months visiting and evaluating potential manufacturers, partners, and facilities,” Block told NutraIngredients-USA. “The manufacturing partners we have chosen are state licensed as food product manufacturers as well as licensed industrial hemp processors.”

“After researching the benefits of combining the two amazing products (cranberry and CBD) and conducting additional research on potential markets, the decision was made to launch Mother Nature’s Trading Company (MTNC),” he added.

Human, pet and personal care products included in launch

The company launched with tinctures and drink mixes combining cranberry seed oil and full spectrum hemp oil under the Cranology brand.  MNTC also has put together a line of pet and equine products under the Cowboy Up brand name and a line of personal care products under the Silq brand name.  All feature the cranberry seed oil/hemp-CBD pairing.

The tinctures provide 20 mg CBD per serving.  Also on the label the products mention the presence of quercitin and vitamins A and E in the product, as well as the omega 3-6-9 characteristic of the cranberry seed oil.

Block said the products make no health claims but are positioned to support general health and wellness.  He said the products are available for sale on the company’s website as well as  in “selected independent pharmacies and health and nutrition stores.”
