Organic Protein Milk by Horizon
At 12 g of protein per 8 oz serving, the new Horizon Organic Protein Milk contains 50% more protein per serving than traditional dairy milks, according to the company.
The added protein comes from organic milk protein concentrate made from proteins naturally found in milk. The milks also contain vitamin D, calcium, riboflavin, vitamin B12, and phosphorus.
"We realized that protein is a top priority for people when it comes to milk – yet no organic protein milk option was available," said Christina Finkel, Senior Director of Marketing for Horizon Organic. "Protein helps to fuel your day and supports healthy muscles, and our newest organic protein milk is meant to help meet that need for dairy drinkers."

Sparkling Rush Powder Packs by Abbott
Pharma company Abbott is ramping up its efforts to corner the hangover market with its Pedialyte line, originally developed for children. Last month it introduced Sparkling Rush, which is powdered effervescent Pedialyte packed in single-serve packets.
It contains carbohydrates and electrolytes to help prevent mild to moderate dehydration, according to the company. It comes in cherry and grape.
“While some people look to sports drinks for electrolytes, the leading ones aren't optimized for rehydration like Pedialyte,” according to the company. “They are higher in sugar and lower in sodium, and may actually make dehydration worse. Pedialyte Sparkling Rush is a medical-grade hydration solution that replenishes the body with twice the electrolytes and half the sugar of leading sports drinks, and no artificial colors.”
