mykind Organics Herbals by Garden of Life
Garden of Life partnered with Clueless star Alicia Silverstone to create a line of herbal supplements that is fully Certified USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, and certified both gluten free and vegan. The line, called mykind Organics Herbals, can be found at local health food stores and on Amazon.
The line includes 16 supplements in a variety of forms, from tablets to powders to sprays. This includes Turmeric Pain Relief, Maximum Strength Turmeric Joints and Mobility, Elderberry Immune Syrup, Oregano Seasonal Drops, and Fair Trade Organic Maca Root.
New collagen line by Advanced Protein Technology
Michigan-based Advanced Protein Technology launched a new line of collagen powders under the brand name Nutra Collagen.
Products in the line include the Bone Broth Protein Powder and two unflavored collagen protein powders in different sizes—a 30 day supply and a 60 day supply.
According to its website, the collagen used is bovine, derived from cattle that have been grass-fed and pasture-raised in Brazil.
Kiwi Guava flavor by Celsius
Publicly traded energy drink maker Celsius Holdings announced a new flavor for its sparkling energy drink line: Kiwi Guava.
"Our Kiwi Guava SKU was created to proactively target the fast-growing Hispanic Millennial market segment," said Vanessa Walker, CELSIUS' EVP Marketing and Innovation. Guava-flavored products aren’t commonly found in mainstream US retailers, but it is a staple in many regional specialty stores catering to Latin American grocery shoppers.
The SKU’s new reach include national retailers like Target, GNC, 7-Eleven, and Military Exchanges worldwide. (Read our full coverage of the new launch HERE).
Protein bars and cookies by Vitacost
The online vitamin retailer Vitacost launched its own line of 15 nutrition bars and cookies, which feature both whey and plant-sourced protein.
“In today’s fast-paced world, our customers are looking for a convenient and portable way to fuel their day,” said Terry Papadopoulos, Director of Corporate Brands. “We created these products to deliver nutritional alternatives to popular grab-and-go foods. The ingredients were carefully selected to meet the lifestyle and dietary needs of a diverse group of people.”
The new line includes Vitacost Whey Protein Bars, Vitacost Plant-Based Protein Bars, Vitacost Plant-Based Protein Cookies, Vitacost Quinoa Qrisp Bars, and Vitacost Fruit and Nut Bars.
Quell-Gel by Nature’s Edge
The new supplement Quell-Gel by Nature’s Edge was formulated to “quell the flames of inflammation,” as the company explained on its website.
It contains vitamin D3, a curcuminoid complex, mixed tocotrienols, astaxanthin, and omega-3 fish oil, among other things. Each bottle contains 60 softgels.
C4 Ultimate Shred by Cellucor
The new pre-workout supplement C4 Ultimate Shred by Cellucor contains a branded nitric oxide boosting ingredient called Nitrosigine by Nutrition 21, designed to increase blood flow and aid users with increasing lean mass and burning fat.
It also contains an ingredient called Capsimax Cayenne by OmniActive, a capsicum extract derived from red hot peppers that has been linked to weight loss benefits.
Wellness Chews by Nerium International
A skincare specialist called Nerium International launched a nutritional supplement line called Wellness Chews. It consists of a sleep formula and an energy formula.
The energy formula contains caffeine, B vitamins, L-tyrosine, and a blend called Circadiplex, which is proprietary to Nerium International.
The sleep formula also contains Circadiplex, as well as melatonin, chamomile, and L-tryptophan.
Protein mug cake and plant protein powder by Health Warrior
Single-serve ‘mug cakes’ are increasing in popularity. Riding on this momentum, Health Warrior launched its own microwaveable mug cake with 12 g of protein per cup, derived from fava beans, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, and sorghum.
The company also launched a protein powder fortified with probiotics. The protein, like the mug cake, comes from pumpkin, hemp, chia, and flax seeds.
