CRN announces Workshop agenda, opens registration for industry-wide event

Registration is open for the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) annual industry-wide educational and networking events—The Workshop: CRN’s Day of Science, and The Conference: CRN’s Annual Symposium for the Dietary Supplement Industry.

The events will take place October 16 to 19 at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, in Dana Point, California.

Among the headline speakers for the conference are presidential historian Jon Meecham, a Pulitzer Prize winner and contributor to TIME and The New York Times Book Review, and Dean Ornish, MD, founder and president of Preventive Medicine Research Institute.

The association also announced the agenda for its Day of Science, which will cover three topics:

1) Nutritional needs during pregnancy and the first two years;

2) The microbiome’s impact on human health and disease; and

3) The impact of sleep on human health and disease—including a clinician’s perspective on sleep and stress management and the use of botanicals from Tieraona Low Dog, MD.

“CRN’s science workshop has a reputation for bringing together leading experts in nutrition science with top industry executives interested in the latest research related to dietary supplements and nutritional ingredients,” said Duffy MacKay, N.D., senior vice president, scientific & regulatory affairs, CRN.

“This year’s lineup is sure to provide food for thought—and innovation—as we explore new developments in key areas that have much potential for benefitting people’s health and wellness.”

“See what changes are afoot”

“CRN’s events are known for thought-provoking speakers and discussions that drive change, industry-wide,” said Steve Mister, CRN’ president and CEO.

“We invite dietary supplement and functional food industry stakeholders—both CRN members and non-members—to join us in October, see what changes are afoot, and be part of that evolution.”
