CRN announces five staff promotions

Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), a dietary supplement and functional foods trade association, announced five staff promotions.

According to Steve Mister, president & CEO, CRN, “These promotions recognize the professional growth of these individuals and acknowledge their increasingly valuable contributions to advancing CRN’s mission.”

CRN’s 2018 staff promotions are:

Tammie Betway to Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the President

Ms. Betway joined CRN in 2007 as the senior executive assistant to the president & CEO. She coordinates the president’s calendar, oversees logistical arrangements for Board of Director meetings, and coordinates communication between the president’s office and member companies. In addition to those duties, in her new role, she will work closely with the vice president, finance & administration, to handle additional administrative and managerial functions to ensure the CRN office runs smoothly and efficiently.

Amour Clinton to Scientific & Regulatory Associate

Ms. Clinton came to CRN in 2016 as an administrative assistant. She provides administrative support to CRN’s Science & Regulatory Affairs department and oversees logistics of CRN’s annual Day of Science. In her new capacity, Clinton will assume additional responsibility for CRN’s docket management and support for CRN’s scientific and regulatory committees.

Maya English to Senior Manager, Education & Events

Ms. English started at CRN in 2016 as the manager, education & events. She manages logistics for CRN’s educational events, including conferences and webinars, and oversees the maintenance of the association’s member relations database. As CRN expands its range of educational offerings for both CRN members and non-members, English will have expanded oversight of this programming along with member outreach.

Haiuyen Nguyen to Senior Director, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs

Ms. Nguyen joined CRN in 2007 as the research assistant, scientific & regulatory affairs, and was first promoted in 2010 to research manager, scientific & regulatory affairs. Over the next six years, she held progressively more responsible positions in the Scientific & Regulatory Affairs department, with a promotion to director in 2016. She co-manages CRN’s annual Day of Science and handles external relations for several of CRN’s self-regulatory coalitions and projects, including the SIDI Work Group.

Holly Vogtman to Communications Associate

Ms. Vogtman started at CRN in 2016 as the communications assistant. She serves as the primary contact for trade press reporters who cover the dietary supplement and functional food industry and plays an integral role in executing the Communications Department’s promotional and publicity activities. Vogtman’s promotion recognizes her expanding responsibilities for multi-channel communication initiatives at CRN and increased responsibility for gaining visibility for CRN’s efforts on behalf of the industry.
