GOED and William Reed announce global events partnership to support omega-3 industry

The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED) and William Reed, publishers of NutraIngredients, are pleased to announce a collaboration to expand the number of global touchpoints for the omega-3 community.

Each organization has committed to building a mutually beneficial collaboration while retaining their own independence and control. The goals of the partnership are to:

- Expand the number of global touchpoints for the Omega-3s community with complementary events and other activities

- Disseminate high value content to educate and grow the global Omega-3s community

Under the terms of the agreement, William Reed will become the “Headline Media Sponsor” for the biennial Omega-3 industry event, the GOED Exchange. GOED Exchange 2018 will take place February 6-8 in Seattle, Washington, and is open to anyone involved in the Omega-3 industry.

Similar to its successful partnership with the International Probiotics Association on the global Probiota series, William Reed will launch a NutraIngredients Omega-3 Conference, in association with GOED, during the off-years between GOED Exchanges in one of its global regions. The first NutraIngredients Omega-3 conference is planned for Singapore in 2019.

Commenting on the mutual opportunities, Adam Ismail, GOED’s Executive Director, stated: “We are excited to be working with William Reed to develop new events related to Omega-3s and to further share the content generated at our GOED Exchange events. Their demonstrated success with probiotic events has been a model on which we hope to build for our sector of the food and nutrition industries.”

Graham Twyford, William Reed’s Executive Director – EMEA / APAC, commented: “We have been covering the Omega-3 market for 17 years through NutraIngredients and have published over 5,000 articles on the topic. Our partnership with GOED, such a highly respected and influential trade association, enables us to further build on the authority we have in this area, while retaining full editorial integrity. We will continue to serve industry stakeholders and the Omega-3 community with high quality content and engagement opportunities, both digitally and now through a global series of educational conferences”
