Ivan Wasserman wins 2017 Client Choice Healthcare & Life Sciences Award for DC

Ivan Wasserman, partner at Amin Talati Upadhye, has been awarded the 2017 Lexology Client Choice award for exemplary client service in the fields of Healthcare and Life Sciences in the District of Columbia.

Client Choice, established in 2005, recognizes those law firms and partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service. Uniquely, law firms and partners can only be nominated by corporate counsel.

Wasserman was praised by clients for “his fantastic team of partners and associates [as] responsive, understanding, knowledgeable and always available.” He was described by one client as “forward thinking, progressive with industry knowledge and fun to work with.” Another stated that “Ivan understands our business and stays up-to-date on all our issues.”

“The increasingly complex legal needs of companies in the health-related and life sciences industries require lawyers who really understand their intellectual property strategies and the intricate regulations governing food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and medical devices, “ said Wasserman.

“My partners at Amin Talati Upadhye and I consider it an honor to be focused on these industries, and our goal is to be trusted advisors to businesses as they develop, import and market products aimed at improving the population’s health and wellness. I’m so glad that they seem to think we are meeting that goal.”

Rakesh Amin, firm partner, said: “This award confirms all of the reasons we were so thrilled to welcome Ivan as the leader of our new Washington DC office last year.

“Ivan has a national reputation for client service, and being in Washington enhances our ability to represent companies in government investigations, enforcement actions, and patent, trademark and class action litigation.  As this honor indicates, Ivan’s clients, including foreign and domestic manufacturers, distributors and retailers, have long known the quality of the services he provides, and now we do too.”
