There are reports that the categories may not be growing as much as before, with some sources also reporting declines. But that doesn't apply to all products, specifically with some key branded ingredients, so what's working and which products are consumers seeking?
The traditional consumer demographics of baby boomers and post-menopausal women have been joined by athletes, with an increasing number of joint health products in particular positioned for active individuals.
On the formulation side, the ‘classic’ ingredients such as glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, calcium, vitamin D have been joined by new and innovative ingredients, such as collagen, vitamin K2, prebiotics, egg shell membrane extracts and many more.
During the NutraIngredients-USA Bone & Joint Health 2016 Event we will host webinars looking at the state of the US joint health market, exploring cutting edge research and market opportunities for bone health; and discussing innovation and opportunity with leading brands.
