They bring with them an appetite for innovation in an industry that’s experiencing accelerated growth as scientific understanding of the human microbiome expands and commercial applications proliferate.
“With insights from cutting edge science and practical applications, we’ll provide inspiration for companies keen to turn scientific discovery into real-world products that contribute to the health of global populations,” says George Paraskevakos, executive director of the International Probiotics Association (IPA), the global voice of the probiotics industry.
Probiota has a ten-year track record and successful annual event in Amsterdam. In 2015 established Probiota Americas to provide a forum for this region’s rapidly growing industry. This year it has partnered with the IPA World Congress, previously held every two years since 2008, to create the probiotic sector's mega-event.
“Probiota’s achievements record and the IPA’s powerful membership make this the industry’s must attend event,” says NutraIngredients-USA senior editor Stephen Daniells.
IPA World Congress & Probiota Americas 2016 highlights include:
- Deep-dive workshops into high profile areas, including prebiotic ingredients and women’s health.
- An exploration of the global regulatory environment focused on bringing about change that will open up commercial markets.
- A Scientific Frontiers Poster Session that celebrates and rewards ground breaking research from around the world.
- A conference agenda of presentations, round table discussions and debates that combine scientific discovery with practical application.
IPA World Congress + Probiota Americas is sponsored by more than 20 of the world’s most innovative prebiotics and probiotics businesses, including Jarrow Formula, Lallemand Health Solutions, Probiotical, Unique Biotech and Winclove Probiotics.
Excellent opportunities
Lallemand sales & marketing director Isabelle Champié says: “As long term sponsors of Probiota and active members of the IPA we’re delighted to see these two events unite. Together they cater to an industry that needs support to break down regulatory barriers, grasp innovation opportunities and evolve new commercial applications. We’re delighted to be returning in 2016 and look forward to three days of intensive networking and learning.”
In 2015 almost 90% of attendees at the inaugural Probiota Americas rated the event ‘excellent’ or ‘good’ and agreed that what they had learned added value to their businesses.
99% applauded opportunities for interaction, networking and debate. 65% admitted that they came to Probiota with high expectations – 72% stated that those expectations had been exceeded.
“We’re looking forward to another exceptional event in 2016 – bigger and better than ever,” concludes Daniells.
