UNPA adds new executive & science & technology services members

The United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA) has added Xin Du Bio-Tech and Healthnotes to its membership roster.

Xin Du Bio-Tech has joined as an Executive Member, while Healthnotes joins as a science & technology services members.

Xin Du Bio-Tech is a subsidiary of Chinese company Xinquanxinlin Biological Nutrient Supplements LLC. It was formed in 2014 to develop its core technology of producing mycelium raw materials through the process of biotransformation, with full intellectual property rights. The nutritional ingredients are processed through low-temperature technology for a final product that is natural, sustainable and tested by a third-party organization.

“High-value, efficacious ingredients, backed by solid science and clean quality ingredients, is the future of the dietary supplement industry,” said UNPA President Loren Israelsen. “Xin Du Bio-tech’s strength in fermentation technology will be a great asset to UNPA and its members, and we warmly welcome the company and its team to the UNPA family.”

Seattle-based Healthnotes was founded by Skye Lininger, DC, and began by delivering the first scientific supplement data to retail consumers and has since found a niche developing new technologies to continue that mission. Its database has grown organically to include comprehensive scientific, clinical, regulatory, product ingredient, supplier, manufacturer, brand and process data. Today its Integrated Data Platform is the most extensive platform within the industry, delivering responsive experiences across mobile, touch-based kiosks and desktop via unique software services.

“Healthnotes joined UNPA because it is a powerful advocate for quality and standards in the dietary supplement industry,” said Lininger. “Its conferences are outstanding, with a ‘Who’s Who’ faculty of industry experts that assembles the right audience for us to talk about our company’s products and mission. The industry is navigating treacherous waters. UNPA is an important beacon of illumination.”

“HealthNotes’ innovative software and data platforms are at the forefront of consumer engagement and new product development and supply chain management, all of which will play a vital role in continuing to build confidence and trust in the dietary supplement industry,” said UNPA President Loren Israelsen.
