“The food industry continues to surge toward better nutrition at quite a pace and the interplay between that dynamic and the global food supplements industry is driving innovation on so many levels from science, to formulation, to marketing to manufacturing,” said NutraIngredients senior editor, Shane Starling.
“The work goes on in small and large companies, in research institutions, in NGOs on a daily basis to deliver foods that improve people’s lives, optimise health and performance and reduce disease. It’s an honour to be able to reward some of that work.”
12 ways to win
Our judging panel is in place and will scrutinise all entries culminating in a gala night at the Starling Hotel on May 11 on the second evening of Vitafoods Europe in Geneva.
200 people filled the room to celebrate and be inspired by the innovation on show over dinner, drinks and dancing.
“Following the extremely high quality and quantity of entries received for the 2015 edition – more than 130 - and based on feedback from the industry, we have expanded the number of categories from seven to 12,” said Graham Twyford, head of food division for EMEA/APAC.
“The diverse range of categories provides multiple industry stakeholders with an opportunity to enter – from finished product manufacturers to ingredients suppliers, contract manufacturers to CROs and universities to marketing agencies… there is a chance for all to get the recognition they deserve.”
“In addition to our judging panel, 300,000+ monthly NutraIngredients readers will again have a strong role to play. The winners of the ‘Readers’ Ingredients of the Year’ and ‘Readers Food Supplement of the Year’ categories will both by decided by an online vote on NutraIngredients. Both of these categories are presented in association with Vitafoods Europe and promise to be hotly contested.”
