Mannatech granted 90th patent

Mannatech Inc., a Texas-based supplement manufacturer, announced the granting of its 90th patent, with the granting of five new patents in 2013 relating to the company’s product portfolio.

Mannatch, which says its products are based on a system called Real Food Technology and on glyconutrient technology said four patents for the technology related to the company’s Ambrotose AO formulation have been issued in various countries (two in Mexico, one in Canada and one in Taiwan), and one patent has been issued in Australia for the technology related to its GI-ProBalance formulation. Ambrotose AO capsules combine a blend of plant extracts and antioxidant compounds that the company says are clinically proven to provide over 2 ½ times more antioxidant protection than five servings of fruits and vegetables. GI-ProBalance slimsticks are Mannatech’s solution for probiotic health, providing six different strains of probiotics and two different prebiotics for a wide variety of health support.
