POM Wonderful and Procter & Gamble join the CRN

Consumer packaged goods giant Procter & Gamble and pomegranate juice maker POM Wonderful are among six new firms to join the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) this month.

P&G (which recently moved into the supplements market in a big way via the acquisition of New Chapter) and POM (which now sells industrial ingredients as well as consumer products) are joined by OmniActive Health Technologies and Sensient Pharmaceutical Coating Systems as voting members; and by law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld and The Natural Marketing Institute as associate members.

Founded in 1973, the CRN is a Washington, D.C.-based trade association representing dietary supplement manufacturers and ingredient suppliers.
