Bayer HealthCare offers grants for leading women

Bayer HealthCare, the German- based subsidiary of Bayer AG, has given a $50,000 grant to support the Women’s International Leadership (WIL) Program at International House, New York.

The grant strengthens Bayer’s contribution towards encouraging women to take up more responsibilities, said the company. In 2008, the company created the Women Leadership Initiative to promote the development of female leading positions within its workplace.

The grant will cover WIL’s operating budget as well as publications, networking activities and program- related activities. The WIL Program will feature seminars, skills- based leadership teaching, speaker workshops, mentoring project and negotiating techniques amongst others.

Bayer employees are invited to volunteer as mentors and role models and share their expertise in their respective industries.
