UAS Labs provides probiotic research scholarship to SDSU

Probiotics player UAS Laboratories will provide two scholarships to students at South Dakota State University (SDSU) to support probiotic research efforts.

The Minnesota-based company’s president, Dr S.K. Dash, currently serves as an adjunct professor in SDSU’s Department of Health and Nutritional Sciences. The new scholarships add to the close relationship between the company and SDSU: UAS Labs has funded research, scholarships and education through SDSU foundation.

According to UAS Labs, some of the programs currently under consideration include:

  • Masters Program in Clinical Nutrition
  • Research in Probiotic Applications
  • A Certificate Program in Probiotics
  • An International Symposium on Probiotics
