Fast food giant Burger King has become the latest food firm to highlight the items it offers that are suitable for ‘gluten-sensitive’ people, a move that could suggest gluten-free is no longer a niche medical diet, but one that is at the center of mainstream food choices.
Senior director of cultural marketing at Burger King Corp. Cindy Syracuse said: "We understand that our guests have individual dietary needs, and as part of our Have It Your Way brand promise, Burger King Corp. offers menu items for individuals with gluten sensitivity. With our Gluten-Sensitive list, we're making it easier for our guests to identify these choices.”
The list can be found at its website, at www.bk.com.
