The Wisconsin-based company, which supplies branded vitamin, supplement and herbal products throughout the United States, said that its new structure "better aligns its legal entities with its operating divisions and will provide the flexibility to help [it] achieve its growth objectives through potential acquisitions, continued new product development and improved product positioning." Amongst Enzymatic Therapy's recent business successes is the regaining of the distribution rights for Remifemin, one of the best-known black cohosh-containing products on the market, in June. Enzymatic was the product's original distributor between 1995 and 2000, when the rights passed to GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare as it entered consumer markets. The company, which was founded by Terry Lemerond (now president of EuroPharma) 25 years ago, said that its growth and other recent distribution acquisitions meant it is in a position to take the product to the next level. Enzymatic Therapy merged with Vitaline Formulas, NF Formulas and Tyler Formulas in 2000. It claims to be the fastest growing of the top vitamin and supplement brands in Health Food Store formats as measured by SPINS, which collects scanner-based sales data from store registers on UPC-coded products.
