More than 30 days have passed since the company voluntarily submitted notification to the Food and Drug Administration of the claims that 'Safflorin helps to stimulate antibody production' and 'Safflorin helps to stimulate the immune system'.
Safflorin is a conjugated linoleic acid introduced as an immune supplement ingredient in the European market at the end of 2003. Its use in relation to colds and flus has been patented after a study at showed that it reduced the incidence of sore throats due to colds.
Another human study done by the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) showed that supplementation with Safflorin increased antibody production in healthy people, suggesting that the isomerized safflower oil product could boost the immune system and prevent allergic response in people.
