The path to growth for health ingredients and supplement suppliers will be paved with innnovation. A new agreement in the US sees water specialists Tropical Beverage taking on board the manufacturing rights for innovative clustered water product VIVO.

The two companies said this week that Tropical Beverage will be looking to expand distribution of the product into a number of retail chains, building on the current channels. The VIVO product - that increases the absorption of water into the body - is currently sold in the US at Albertsons, SAV-ON, Jewel and OSCO stores.

"We have oversold our initial projections and are doubling our shelf space," said Dr. Lee Lorenzen, president of CSI, inventor of VIVO.

VIVO is a clustered water that is structured like biowater within the bodies. After 15 years of documenting the effects of 'clustered water' the United States Patent office has issued two patents for the production of stabilised clustered water, making it available to everyone, added Lorenzen.

The product line of Tropical Beverage includes flavored waters, vapor distilled waters, micro clustered waters and waters with additives, including oxygen, caffeine and electrolytes. Keen to build on its product development arm, in a statement this week the company said that it is on the prowl for acquisitions of 'related companies'.
