MindFX Science, a manufacturer of herbal formulas claimed to increase mental agility and performance, has introduced a new form of energy drink in the form of a shot called MindBlast.
The Nevada-based company says the 'unique' energy formula allows it to pack more natural energy-inducing ingredients into a single 2 ounce serving than many 8 ounce energy beverages. Available in a banana or raspberry-flavored shot, the drink is designed to improve concentration, focus and alertness while supporting the overall health of the central nervous system.
"We have been asked by hundreds of customers to make our energy formula into a liquid," said Robert Krakoff, president at MindFX Science. "We've come up with a formula that tastes good, is easy to digest and most importantly, provides a great competitive edge at work and play."
MindBlast's liquid form is said to help increase the rate of absorption, delivering its potent mix of energy boosters much more quickly. It is also being positioned as an alternative for those who want the power of the company's Maxx Impulse supplement but do not want to swallow a tablet.
MindFX Science said it based the MindBlast formula on its Maxx Impulse energy supplement designed to bring professional and amateur athletes alike to the peak of their performance while avoiding any distracting highs, lows or jitters.
The company claims that adaptogenic - a medicine that increases the body's ability to fight disease and stress - herbs, siberian ginseng and rhodiola support the body's ability to adapt to the mixture of 200mg of pure guarana, 100mg of green orange and 500mg of high-grade metabromine.
The ingredients guarana and metabromine are both claimed to support optimal blood flow and increased activity in key areas of the brain and central nervous system. Eleutherococcus and rhodiola are said to supply powerful antioxidant molecules to critical nerve junctions, helping the body to compensate for the added stresses of extreme game-play. While Green Orange -made from the peal of immature common oranges - is claimed to deliver a mild stimulating effect that enhances response rate and reaction time.
Mindblast was presented at this weekend's Natural Products Expo East and is available for retail in the US at an estimated price of $1.69 per 2 ounce shot.
The MindFX Science team is not resting there, however, and is already planning the launch in November of a sports beverage called MindBlast Sport, also to be based on the Maxx Impulse formula. The drink is expected to be available in 18-ounce aluminium cans and bottles at an estimated price of $1.95.
