Sports equipment brand Everlast is adding its name to a line of supplements manufactured by New York City-based Vitamin Branding to launch early next year.
The range, which will include nutrition bars, sports drinks, vitamins, and bodybuilding supplements, will be sold initially in the US, Canada, and the UK, with expansion into other international markets planned.
George Q Horowitz, chairman and CEO of Everlast Worldwide, said the move was 'a natural brand extension' for Everlast and would help the firm expand its presence in the consumer packaged goods market.
"The rapid consumption of these products will help to keep the Everlast name in the forefront of the minds of athletic consumers," he added.
Seth Ratner, president of Vitamin Branding, said: "Use of the Everlast brand name will help establish instantaneous consumer credibility for the Everlast line of nutritional products."
Everlast is one of the leading brands in sports goods and equipment, with an especially strong presence in the boxing field.
