Natural Organics has introduced a weight loss product containing three different slimming ingredients, which the company claims have never been combined in one supplement before.
Called Skinny Mini, the supplement includes Clarinol, the conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) marketed by Loders Croklaan, as well as ForsLean, Sabinsa's branded forskohlin composition, a plant extract 'which supports the transition to lean body mass' and Citrimax (hydroxycitric acid). Each ingredient is said to tackle different aspects of weight loss, although the company has not carried out any trials to test the efficacy of the blend.
Senior vice president James Gibbons said each of the ingredients are already marketed under the firm's Nature's Plus brand, but this is the first time they have been combined. The supplement also contains green tea, guarana, cacao, spirulina, green orange and rhodiola extracts, said to reduce the 'jitters' caused by the energy-boosting ingredients.
The ChromeMate brand niacin-bound chromium and vitamin B12 are also added to the supplement, 'to support synergistic metabolic activity'.
The New York-based firm says independent laboratory assays confirm the quality of the product, to be distributed in health food stores nationally.
Natural Organics also launched a new flavor of its Spiru-tein soy-based energy shake this month - Double Fudge Crunch - alongside a nutrition bar in the same flavor, while in the children's category, Animal Parade multivitamins are now available in chewy gum format.
