Dairy protein distributor Euro Proteins is to launch French whey specialists Armor Proteins' whey protein isolate Vitalarmor LFX 100 in the US. The product is said to differ from others on the market due to its unique extraction process and 'built-in' bovine lactoferrin content.

This specific whey protein isolate is obtained by ion exchange through a positively charged resin. Through this process, Armor says it has created a virtually 'undenatured' - maximum temperature during the ion exchange process is 40 degrees Fahrenheit - product whereas most other whey protein isolates have been pasteurized.

Armor claims it also has the lowest levels of glycation of lactose to proteins found in commercially available whey protein products, while containing very high levels of endogenous microfractions such as lactoferrin (1 per cent).

Vitalarmor is designed to stimulate the immune system, regulate the anti-inflammatory system and fight free radicals.

Euro Proteins also supplies milk protein isolates, caseinates, caseins and a range of whey protein products.
