Fortitech's South America division has received a prize from the Brazilian government for its custom premixes for human nutrition. The prize is awarded to companies with products and services that demonstrate superior quality and performance.

Fortitech South America director general Juarez Fairon Rech said the business was "honored to receive this prestigious prize". The nutritional premixes are custom developed for products ranging from medical foods and baby formulas to supplements.

"Every premix we manufacture adheres to strict GMPs and rigorous internal standards for potency and consistency," said Rech.

The Brazil Premium prize was created by the Federal Government of Brazil through IPT, a well-regarded technical research institute at the University of Sao Pãulo, to promote superior quality, Brazilian-made industrialized products.

Products are evaluated on international market requirements for quality and product performance. Companies that receive the prize can use the Brazil Premium quality stamp on their products. The prize is sponsored by several trade and government organizations, including APEX - Export Promotion Agency, IPT, Department of International Trade, Industry and Development, and the Brazilian government.

Fortitech South America recently received ISO 9001:2000 re-certification registration from BSI Management Systems Quality Registrar.
