Cereal bar maker ZonePerfect Nutrition reported another leap in gross sales revenues for the third quarter, up 89 per cent on last year's same period to $25.5 million.

The performance bettered last quarter's growth, the company's record results at the time.

"Increasing demand for ZonePerfect Nutrition products continues to drive sales and help the company surpass its own records," said Christopher Baker, chief executive officer of ZonePerfect Nutrition. He added that further growth is expected.

In March, ZonePerfect Nutrition announced that it was the first company to have sales of its nutrition bars surpass sales of Slim-Fast Snack bars at Target Stores.

The company recently launched five new flavors in the nutrition bar range at Natural Products Expo in March.
