Humanetics to supply 7-Keto to NBTY

Nutritional ingredients maker Humanetics says it has signed an agreement with supplement manufacturer NBTY to sell the Humanetics weight loss ingredient 7-Keto. NBTY will introduce the new 7-Keto weight loss product in its Vitamin World chain, as an ephedra alternative.
The product, called Xtreme Trim 7-Keto Shaper, is available at over 500 Vitamin World locations and can also be purchased online.
Minneapolis-based Humanetics says two independently conducted clinical trials support the effectiveness of 7-Keto for weight loss. In the double-blind, placebo-controlled trials 7-Keto was shown to promote three times more weight and fat loss than diet and exercise alone.
NBTY is said to market more than 1,100 products under several brands. These include Nature's Bounty Vitamin World, Puritan's Pride, Holland & Barret, Nutrition Headquarters and Dynamic Essentials.
Humanetics develops new ingredients for thedietary supplement, pharmaceutical, companion animal and cosmeticindustries.
