Hain Celestial innovates at Expo East

introduced a range of new products and line extensions at the
Natural Foods Expo East show in Washington, DC last weekend.

US natural and organic food company the Hain Celestial Group introduced a range of new products and line extensions at the Natural Foods Expo East show in Washington, DC last weekend.

Brands with new product introductions included Westsoy, both of the company's snack brands - Terra and Garden of Eatin' - Earth's Best, Health Valley, Hain Pure Foods, Arrowhead Mills and Westbrae.

Irwin Simon, chairman, president and CEO of Hain Celestial​, said: "These new products highlight the strength of several of our key brands in fast-growing categories such as snacks and refrigerated soymilk. As part of our fiscal 2003 priority of building our brands, we are bringing to market innovative new products, line extensions and exciting packaging that will enhance our growth throughout fiscal 2003."

"They will help bring new consumers to Hain Celestial products as awareness of the benefits of natural and organic foods continues to grow,"​ he added.

The Westsoy soymilk range now includes the low-calorie varieties Westsoy Low Fat Refrigerated Soymilk and Soy Slender Low Calorie Soymilk. The Terra Chips' Original Vegetable Chips has been introduced in a larger 7.5oz pack and Terra is also adding a new extension to its Frites Line - Terra Sweet Potato Frites, available in Southern Recipe and Southwestern Spices varieties.

There are also new varieties added to the Garden of Eatin' Mini Corn range and the Earth's Best children's foods. Hain also said it has launched the first organic mints on the market - in Organic Cinnamon and Organic Peppermint varieties and the company also unveiled Hain PureSnax, a range of healthy, natural snacks.
