Vestrio, a subsidiary of wholefoods marketer Whole Living, is to launch in fifty new countries, the company announced this week.

Whole Living said Vestrio's expansion followed a company-wide international growth strategy. Vestrio began laying the groundwork over the last six months to open distribution channels in the new markets, it said.

Once the company is established in the new countries, Whole Living's other subsidiary The Brain Garden will use the framework to promote its health products.

"We've raised industry standards and broken new ground in areas like international expansion, concurrently opening in fifty foreign countries around the world. In the process, we have identified inspired international allies," said Robert Thele, chief executive officer of Vestrio.

"Vestrio's international expansion plan has levelled the playing field...worldwide. Citizens from these fifty countries will have an equal opportunity to build an international business with Vestrio."

Whole Living products are sold throughout the US, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
