Award-winning bars from Cytodyne
been awarded a gold medal for excellence and voted America's
best-tasting protein bar by the American Tasting Institute.
Cytodyne Technologies, the US manufacturer of weight loss supplements, said that its Xenadrine EFX weight loss nutrition bar had been awarded a gold medal for excellence and voted the country's best-tasting protein bar by the American Tasting Institute, whose members include some of America's most respected chefs and food critics.
The bar, which is ephedrine-free, comes in four flavours (Chocolate Almond, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Chocolate Peanut and Cookies and Cream), and is designed to help consumers following a low-carbohydrate diet.
The newly-launched ephedrine-free version of the popular Xenadrine range contains 21 grams of high-quality protein, and is fortified with glutamine, key amino acids and 26 essential vitamins and minerals. Each bar also contains 1.5 grams of Clarinol conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which has been shown to promote weight loss by decreasing body fat and increasing lean body mass and muscle strength.
Cytodyne said it planned to support the award-winning new product with TV and print advertising and media promotion. The Xenadrine High Protein Weight Control Bars will be available in all GNC outlets, Vitamin Shoppes, WalMart, Target and other retail outlets throughout the US as of 1 August.
