PLT to distribute GliSODin
the antioxidant manufactured by French company Isocell.
PL Thomas (PLT) has received exclusive US distribution rights for GliSODin, the antioxidant manufactured by French company Isocell.
Isocell uses a patented process to manufacture what it claims is the first orally bioavailable Superoxide Dismutase (SOD).
Paul Flowerman, PLT president explained: "Thanks to a patented process, the powerful antioxidant SOD is protected from degradation in the gastrointestinal tract providing increased levels of circulating SOD."
According to the company, superoxide dismutase is a master defence enzyme and powerhouse antioxidant which occurs naturally in human cells. The production of SOD in the body decreases during the ageing process.
GliSODin is derived from melons, although a previous source was bovine liver.
The ingredient can be used for immune support, neurological support, cardiovascular support, vision health, lung health, liver support and overall cellular health. According to PLT, SOD is supported by ongoing human clinical research.
PLT's other major products include water-soluble gums, botanical extracts, mechanically processed herbs, soy isoflavones and soy proteins.
